The Team at Kellenberger Law
Brent Kellenberger, Attorney at Kellenberger Law

Brent Kellenberger

Attorney

Brent Kellenberger is an attorney focusing on estate planning and several of its niche areas including asset protection, business and farm succession, generational planning for families, values-based planning, charitable giving, special needs, long term care and incapacity, and business planning.  He values a service-oriented approach, ensuring that each client's unique situation and goals are thoroughly understood before providing tailored planning options.

Brent counsels clients on protecting and transferring assets, including real property, financial accounts, qualified plans, personal property, intellectual property, and (perhaps most importantly) wisdom and values. Brent designs and drafts various types of trusts along with Wills, Powers of Attorney, deeds, and other legal tools to better ensure clients' intentions are realized.

Brent holds a degree from Kansas State University (1999) and a law degree from the University of Kansas (2005). He worked as a nursing home administrator and as a science teacher (a room full of 7th graders walked into his class minutes after the World Trade Center towers crumbled). Brent married Beth in 2000, and they have five children. The family enjoys spending time together playing sports like pickle ball and soccer, playing piano and games, reading books, memorizing scripture, and visiting National Parks and other beautiful places.  They also enjoy most aspects of living in rural Missouri.  They hope to travel to Guatemala someday, where Brent traveled five times while adopting their oldest child. Beth, a physical therapist, works in pediatrics and as a home educator and Classical Conversations tutor.

Ben Clayton, Attorney at Kellenberger Law

Ben Clayton

Attorney

I am a married father of two, an attorney, and by nature a curious person.  I have been married to my college sweetheart since 2008 and have a wonderful son and daughter, both of whom I am extremely proud of.  If you want to get me talking, ask me questions about them.

My story started in a small town in Iowa, where I tossed bales for summer money.  I moved to North Carolina with my family mid high school, where I graduated and went to undergrad at NC State.  My path to the law started in 2009 when I became a police officer.  After 10 years in law enforcement, I was accepted to law school and I graduated from Elon’s School of Law, North Carolina, in 2021.  After law school, our family moved to Kansas with my wife’s work.

I did a brief stint in family law, and in 2023 I was gratefully offered and accepted a position to work as an associate estate planning attorney for Brent Kellenberger. I have remained working for Brent, despite our family’s relocation again to South Carolina.  Working in estate planning has a real personal connection with me, I have seen the effects of unanticipated death from the first notification to a loved one to a final court order.  I hope to help make this process as comfortable and easy as possible removing the discomfort and conversational stigma surrounding estate planning in general.

When not working in the office, you can find me tinkering in the garage with various projects or creations, running back and forth between kids’ activities, or relaxing with a good book.  I also enjoy 3D printing and computers, traveling, gardening, and camping with family and friends.

Megan Rose, Attorney at Kellenberger Law

Megan Rose

Attorney

Megan started her legal career working as a legal assistant, then paralegal, and finally associate attorney for John P. Hastings until his retirement. She ran her own practice, primarily practicing estate planning and adoption law, for almost five years before joining Brent at W Law Group in 2024. She followed Brent to Kellenberger Law and is working part time so that she can spend most of her time raising her young daughters.

Megan passionately believes in creating personalized estate plans that are written in plain English. Estate planning is a rare opportunity in law for creative problem solving ahead of time, and she looks forward to helping you make sure your wishes are carried out. She is licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Missouri and is a trained mediator.

Megan is married to her college sweetheart with whom she’s now raising two dogs and two daughters. When she’s not working or explaining “why” to her toddler, Megan enjoys sewing (mostly making stuffed animals and never hemming pants) and finding new ways to put flavored sugar into her coffee.
